About this Bible story
Daniel was thrown into the lions' den because he prayed to God instead of King Darius. But God protected him! As it says in Daniel 6:22, 'My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.'
“My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.”

More about these Bible coloring pages
While we colored Daniel in the lions' den, I could hear my 4-year-old, Mia, asking questions about why the lions didn’t eat him. It was heartwarming to see her grasp the courage Daniel showed. The images include Daniel with the lions, King Darius looking worried, and the angel who kept Daniel safe. 'My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions' (Daniel 6:22) is such a beautiful reminder of God's protection. We also used crayons to fill in the lions and the den, making it a fun activity that sparked their curiosity about the Bible story. During snack time, we talked about being brave like Daniel, and how we can trust God when we’re scared. The kids loved sharing their thoughts while coloring, and it turned into a great lesson about faith and courage.
