More about these coloring pages

During our lesson, we focused on how St. Joseph took care of Mary and Jesus, especially when he had to flee to Egypt to protect them. 'He rose and took the child and his mother by night' (Matthew 2:14) is a powerful reminder of his dedication. The kids loved coloring scenes that showed St. Joseph as a caring father and protector. My third graders especially enjoyed the image of him leading the donkey with Mary and baby Jesus on it. We used crayons and markers to bring these scenes to life. These free printables are a wonderful addition to our Sunday School binder, making it easier to reinforce the lesson with visual aids. I always find that coloring helps the kids remember the stories better, and it sets a calm atmosphere in the classroom.
