More about these coloring pages

Every time I introduce the Jesse Tree coloring page, my students engage with the story of Jesus' family in a new way. With images of Jesse, David, and the symbols of Christ's lineage, it helps kids connect the dots between the Old and New Testaments. I often remind them of God's promise when I say, 'a shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse' (Isaiah 11:1). Last quarter's lesson had the kids bringing their own crayons to color, and it was wonderful to see their creativity shine. I also keep a few printed copies in my Sunday school binder for new students who might join. The vibrant images of the tree and its ornaments make the lesson on Jesus' heritage more interactive. It’s heartwarming to see their excitement as they learn about their Savior's roots through this Jesse Tree. A great follow-up is discussing how we are part of that lineage as believers today.
