More about these coloring pages

While we colored, I shared the story of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem. The kids were fascinated by the image of Mary riding the donkey. 'He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him' (Luke 2:5) really captured their attention. We discussed how important that trip was for the baby Jesus. I set out crayons on the table, and my 4-year-olds enjoyed using bright colors for Mary’s dress and the donkey. After coloring, we’ll hang their artwork up in the classroom to celebrate the season. The six images in this Mary Donkey Bethlehem coloring page give plenty of opportunities for creativity, and I can’t wait to see how each child makes it their own.
