More about these coloring pages

During last quarter's lesson, I noticed the kids were particularly moved by the story of Jesus carrying the cross. As we colored, I reminded them of how Jesus was 'Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull' (John 19:17). The images in this printable show Jesus, the crowd, and even Simon helping Him. My 8-year-old, Lucy, was especially focused, asking questions about why Jesus had to go through this. It's moments like these that make teaching so rewarding. We also used colored pencils instead of crayons to capture more detail in their artwork, which they loved. Using these pages in class helps reinforce the lesson and keeps the kids engaged.
